Freedom Youth is for young people in Year 6 and above, up to the age of 18.
We have three youth groups, Evolve, 180° and 180°+ who meet up on Sunday mornings and on Thursday nights for a whole variety of activities. We aim to equip them for the challenges they’re facing and help them to grow into the awesome young adults that they’re becoming.
On the first Sunday of each month (during term time), we hold 180° Live in the Freedom Centre and meet there from 10.30am instead of joining the rest of the church at Hautlieu. We start with a breakfast of waffles, hot chocolate and fresh fruit, and then have games, worship led by our youth band and teaching.
For all other Sunday services, we meet at Hautlieu School at 10.30am where our young people join the whole church for our time of worship. At 11:10, we then move into our youth groups for games, activities, teaching and prayer.
On Thursday nights from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, all our youth groups meet at the Freedom Centre for more games, activities, worship and talks. We also organise different events including movie nights, bowling, beach BBQs, night hikes and sleep overs.
We also have two youth bands in which our youth are encouraged in their musical talents to grow together as a band and in their experience of worshipping God.
If you’d like your child to be involved in Freedom Youth, please contact the team leaders or email our Youth and Kids Pastor, Sarah Hawthornthwaite.
