We recognise that we’re all different and that our children have a whole range of gifts and abilities. We want our children to have fun, build great friendships and enjoy their time together.
In Champions we use a wide range of activities including talks, drama, dance, sport, activities, games and small group discussion, to teach our children about God and explore how to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
Each session is based on Bible verses and helps us think about how we can live out God’s word in our lives.Champions is led by Merry Bond who is passionate about children’s lives being transformed by Jesus.
What to expect when you arrive
When you arrive at Freedom Church on a Sunday morning, a team member will register your child before the service starts at the kids registration table outside the hall. The team member will give you a numbered registration card. Please keep this card safe, as you will be asked to return it when you collect your child.
If you arrive after pre-registration closes, there will be another opportunity to register when the children go out to their separate groups during the service.
Should your child need you during the service, a message will be displayed on screen in the main meeting, giving your child’s number and group name. You should then go to the group that your child is attending.
Joining Freedom Kids
If your child is regularly attending Freedom Kids, we will ask you to complete a registration form, so that we have some essential information about your child, such as emergency contact details, information about medical conditions or allergies.
We want your child to have a great time in Freedom Kids, and we want them to be safe and happy during their time with us.
We ensure that all our Freedom Kids team members are DBS checked, we have trained first aiders on team, and everyone works to our in-house guidelines, to help us ensure that all the children attending are kept safe and secure. If you’d like to see a copy of our guidelines please get in touch with our church office.
