Helping with the Salvation Army Christmas lunch - either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
Mon 24 December, 2018
The Salvation Army, Minden Place, St Helier
Although we serve our Island in various ways during the course of the year we always try to bless our community even more at Christmas. Historically we have held events in the Royal square and at Freedom Centre welcoming people in and offering drinks, food and entertainment followed by a time of worship.
This year we are doing things slightly differently. Those in some life groups are doing a multitude of different things to bless their local community but there is also another option of partnering up with a couple of other local organisations and helping them with what they are doing.
If you would like to help at any of these then please let me know or sign up at the Connect Point on Sunday.
The Salvation Army will be putting on their Christmas Day lunch at the Salvation Army Church and Community Hall in Minden Street.
They need help from about 2pm on Christmas Eve to help prepare vegetables.
From 10am until 4pm on Christmas day, jobs would include serving food and drinks, talking to people and helping to clear away.
If you feel you would like to help here then please contact the Connect Point on Sunday or the office. Again you can commit to as much time as you want.
Please pray and consider where you would be best placed to serve during this festive time and then let us know.
