Every person matters and each week our welcome team are on hand to let you know that – providing a friendly face to greet you as you arrive and helping with any queries.
Being part of the welcome team involves meeting and greeting people as they arrive at Church. It also includes showing people to seats in the main hall, collecting the offerings and helping with set up and set down.
Everyone on the welcome team is encouraged to make contact with anyone new to Freedom, making them feel welcome and looking out for those sitting alone. It’s also important that we look out for those who may need help, such as wheelchair users or parents with buggies.
Team members are asked to serve on one Sunday a month and on one 5th Sunday a year. You’ll need to arrive by 9:30am and help with set down until 1pm. If you’d like join the welcome team or want to find out more, please contact Andrew.
The Connect Point
The Connect Point is just outside the hall at Hautlieu on Sunday mornings. It provides Church members and visitors with help and advice about a wide range of practical aspects of Church life as well as answering general questions and helping people to connect with one another. If you would like to serve in this area, training and support will be provided.
Volunteers are asked to serve once a month, arriving at 9.45am to set up and staying until 1:30pm to pack away. The Connect Point is staffed on Sundays between 10 – 10.25am and 12–1.15pm.
