Working with children is really rewarding. If you love children and you’d like to serve in a Freedom Kids team, you need to be able to commit to being on team at least one Sunday a month. You can come on team as a core team member or a parent support helper. Serving involves working alongside our children, playing games and joining in with activities, songs and prayer.
As a core team member you need to arrive by 9.30am on Sundays to help set up and prepare for the session, and stay for 20 minutes afterwards to help pack away. You will take a more active role on team, and may be asked to lead a prayer, game or activity.
Parent support helpers serve in Freedom Kids from 11.10am until 12pm on Sunday mornings. There’s no need to come early or stay late. You will be a very valued extra pair of hands to help children on a more practical level.
Everyone on team in Freedom Kids is required to complete a DBS check (similar to a Police check) which we will organise for you. You will also need to read and agree to the terms of our Child Protection Policy and our Team Guidelines for working with children.
